Fullen Gaels romped to victory over Castleblaney in windy conditions at the Parnells club grounds in Coolock, Dublin yesterday.

The London club made their strength tell in the second quarter, outscoring 'Blaney eight points to one.

Colm O'Callaghan punished every 'Blaney error to help his side to a six-point half-time lead.

In the second half, Fullen Gaels hit a goal and a point inside two minutes, and it got worse for 'Blaney when they were reduced to 13 men with Barney Connor's straight red card.

Fullen Gaels then hit a second goal and tagged on eight unanswered points, and 'Blaney finished with 12 players after Patrick Finnegan's second yellow.

Bennettsbridge progress in style

Bennettsbridge 2-19 Annaghdown 0-9

Bennettsbridge (Kilkenny) let rip during the second half to grab the ticket into the All-Ireland club junior hurling final against Fullen Gaels of London in Croke Park on February 15.

The Cats outscored Annaghdown (Galway) during the closing half to ensure an emphatic victory in Nenagh yesterday.

The losers had a man sent off in the 46th minute.

Annaghdown looked threatening at times when backed by the wind during the first half. By half-time they had a 0-7 to 0-4 lead.

Within four minutes of the restart the 'Bridge were back level. Liam Blanchfield bagged a goal in the 48th minute.

The second was put away by Cormac Wafer.
