Maynooth University are Kehoe Cup winners for the first time after beating Wicklow thanks to some great individual performances, notably Brian Molloy.

Molloy scored everything he hit, his seven points early in the second-half extending a six-point half-time lead to 11.

Wicklow started well enough with three early points, but wasted a lot of chances thereafter.

Maynooth were well able to win their own puck-outs, with many of them aimed towards Eoin Kenny.

They led by 1-10 to 0-7 at half-time, but it was 1-17 to 0-9 by the time Molloy had finished with his 14-point scoring spree early in the second-half and, despite two Wicklow goals, Maynooth were well on their way to victory.
