Michael Fennelly ruled out for Cats as Henry Shefflin named on bench
KING Henry is back but only on the bench and Kilkenny will be without the injured Michael Fennelly for their Leinster SHC semi-final with Galway on Sunday.
Their centre-forward spot now goes to Mark Kelly, the O’Loughlin Gaels’ newcomer who had made the full-forward spot his own this season.
TJ Reid, who was Man of the Match but got injured in the Cats' spanking of Offaly last time out, has been passed fit to start and the Cats have two changes to their starters.
Kieran Joyce comes in at wing-back and Padraig Walsh switches to midfield to partner Richie Hogan, with Lester Ryan losing out.
Fennelly’s enforced late withdrawal sees Richie Power return to the starters after missing out with a hamstring the last day and he starts at full-forward with Kelly switching out to the '45.
Galway make two change to the side that was pushed so close by Laois.
Andy Smith comes back in at midfield and Aidan Harte loses out in the defensive reshuffle.
Joe Canning has been given the number 14 shirt and Jason Flynn replaces Johnny Glynn in the full-forward line.
