Cork hurling boss John Meyler is hopeful that he will be able to call on Bill Cooper (back spasm) and Alan Cadogan (quad strain) for Sunday's crucial Munster SHC clash against Limerick after both came through training unscathed.

Tipp's Niall O'Meara picked up a hamstring strain in the Premier's defeat of the Rebels last Sunday and is unlikely to recover in time to take his place in Liam Sheedy's side to face Waterford on Sunday.

Elsewhere, Emlyn Mulligan has departed the Leitrim football squad for the remainder of the year due to persistent knee problems.

The talismanic attacker has walked away from Terry Hyland's side ahead of the qualifiers but has not brought the curtain down on his Leitrim career.

Galway boss Kevin Walsh has made four changes for Sunday's Connacht SFC semi-final against Sligo with Bernard Power, Kieran Molloy, Gareth Bradshaw and Fiontán Ó Curraoin set to start.

The Yeats men just have five remaining from last year's corresponding fixture as Paul Taylor includes fresh faces after an abysmal league campaign.
