Melville whales into the Royals

Kildare minor hurlers recorded another massive score as they easily outclassed Meath in the Leinster MHC at Newbridge on Saturday.

After defeating Down by 51 points, Kildare had 34 points to spare, with the impressive Daragh Melville scoring 4-4.

Melville had his first goal in the net by the second minute and adding a second goal by the seventh minute meant the game was effectively over. He also added a late brace as the Lilies coasted home.

Kildare will play Offaly in two weeks in a Leinster quarter-final.
