It's four from four for Monaghan in Division 3A of the Allianz Hurling League as they registered a three-point victory over a tenacious Louth in Inniskeen yesterday.
A Luke McKenna goal helped Monaghan to an early six-point lead but Louth fought back to parity by the break - 1-6 apiece - with a goal from Diarmuid Murphy in stoppage time.
On the resumption Tadhg Campbell hit the net to give the initiative back to Monaghan and Louth were then reduced to 14 players when Stephen Kettle went on a second yellow card.
Monaghan opened up an eight-point lead and while a Davy Mahony goal kick-starting a Louth revival, they couldn't get the vital goal.
