Lovely Butterley gives Fingal victory over Erne men
Fermanagh 1-16 Fingal 3-13
Three goals from Fingal full-forward Danny Butterley was the difference between the sides at a wet and cold Brewster Park.
Fermanagh looked the better team for 45 minutes until Butterley swooped twice in a minute to react quickest in the large square and send the ball to the Fermanagh net.
Those scores saw the pendulum swing in the Dublin side's favour as Fermanagh saw their three point lead evaporate into a three point deficit.
John Duffy was in prolific free-taking form for the home side, stroking 13 dead balls over the bar during the course of the game. Fermanagh's goal came 30 seconds after Butterley's first three-pointer in the first half with Karl Kehoe's long bomb ending up in the net.
