UL v IT Carlow, UL Grounds, 1.0: Two greats of the game go head-to-head on the sideline when DJ Carey's Carlow side face down University of Limerick, under the guidance of Brian Lohan.

Having gone through their group with a 100pc record, the Limerick side are clear favourites and they boast some serious firepower in Tipp's John McGrath, Waterford's Stephen Bennett and Tony Kelly of Clare.

Carey's Carlow have talent too with Stephen 'Picky' Maher hitting an astonishing 3-12 for them in their win over GMIT but it's hard to see anything other than a win for Lohan's charges who are favourites to win the competition outright.

Odds: UL 2/9 Carlow IT 7/2 Draw 11/1

Verdict: UL

LIT v UCD, Limerick IT, 3.0

Another game that sees two heavyweights of the game go toe to toe with Davy Fitzgerald's LIT taking on a UCD side trained by former Tipperary hero Nicky English.

After steering Wexford to success last weekend, Fitzgerald is looking to keep his good run going and his LIT side are clear favourites having won their three games to date. They will look to the likes of Limerick All-Star nominee Diarmuid Byrnes and top scorer from the last day Paul Killeen for guidance.

The in-form Tadhg de Búrca of Waterford anchors the UCD defence from centre-back and he'll have Cillian Buckley for support but home advantage might just tip this showdown LIT's way.

Odds: LIT 1/2 UCD 15/8 Draw 9/1

Verdict: LIT
