Limerick have once again booked a place in the U21 All-Ireland final after edging Galway in a classic at Semple Stadium in Thurles.

In a back and forth contest, Limerick pulled away in the final minutes after scoring four points unanswered to advance to their second U21 All-Ireland final in the last three years.

An early from Peter Casey and scores from Aaron Gillane saw Limerick enter halftime level with the Tribesman after Dan Nevin, Thomas Monaghan and Sean Linnane all contributed heavily for Galway in the first-half.

Limerick came out firing in the second-half with an early Barry Murphy goal helping the Shannonsiders out to a five-point lead before Jack Coyne pulled one back for Galway shortly afterwards.

Both sides continued to exchange scores with Cian Lynch eventually edging Limerick ahead after Gillane and Monaghan had traded scores.

Conor Whelan scored a brilliant goal to put Galway two points ahead 12 minutes from time until Limerick rallied late with a series of scores from Conor Boylan, Barry Nash, Gillane, Thomas Grimes and Robbie Hanley helping the Treaty County back to the All-Ireland final.
