Liam Dwan's deadly accuracy for Louth downs Fermanagh
Louth 4-17 Fermanagh 3-7
Louth made devastating use of a first-half gale in Darver to leave Fermanagh still searching for their first win of the campaign.
With Liam Dwan deadly accurate over placed balls and Gerard Smyth on hand to fire in a couple of early goals, the hosts stormed into a 2-6 to 0-0 lead after just 15 minutes.
Struggling with the elements, Fermanagh shipped a third goal to Nigel Stanley on 20 minutes and ended the half without registering a score to trail by 3-12 to 0-0.
It was all about restoring a bit of pride for the visitors after the break and they did close the gap to eight points at one stage, with a brace of goals from Declan McGarry and another from Declan Curran.
However, Andrew Mackin put paid to any hope of comeback with Louth's fourth goal as Fermanagh had Karl Kehoe dismissed on a second yellow card late on.
