Laois finally overcome Kerry to avoid the drop

Laois secured their NHL Division 1B status after an epic contest which went to extra time in O'Moore Park last night.
The game started in a whirlwind of action, with both teams pointing inside two minutes before Neil Foyle was red-carded for Laois.
A fortuitous goal for Cha Dwyer helped Laois into a 1-15 to 2-6 lead at half time in normal time, Jordan Conway and Patrick Kelly with the goals for Kerry,
Laois were comfortable for most of the second half until Mikey Boyle rattled a free to the net for Kerry. Then, with the last act of the game, Boyle's tame shot was fumbled over the line by Enda Rowland, the game finished level.
In extra time, Laois took control in the opening period and clung on for a dramatic victory.
