Steven Lambert registered from two '65s and four frees, as Kilburn Gaels claimed a final spot at the Gaelic Grounds yesterday.
The London side had held a 0-7 to 0-4 lead at the break but only a point separated the teams six minutes into the second half.
Former Galway goalkeeper James Skehill had two other defenders on his goal line for the only penalty of the contest, played under the 2014 championship rules, and the trio combined to keep out the effort. Skehill scored one of his side's points from a long range, while Alan Dolan finished out he match as top scorer after he had contributed seven of the Cappataggle points, five of which had come from frees.
Former Galway county star Damian Joyce played at centre-back for the losers.
