IT'S Kilkenny's third home game in succession. And this is a big one. Cork in the Division 1 semi-final of the Allianz National Hurling League. Nowlan Park will tingle with anticipation.

Cork didn't lose a game in the League. The spirits have been lifted on Leeside. Pat Ryan is doing a fine job. The only point they have dropped was in Ennis last week.

Kilkenny overcame Waterford. They had to dig deep as the rain fell and the pitch softened. But that's a quality that's stitched into the black and amber DNA. And in the bible of the man who had the biggest boots in the country to fill, Derek Lyng.

Billy Drennan had another super game against Waterford. Shane McGrath said on the radio that he's the TJ Reid in waiting. High praise indeed.

What time is throw-in?

The game throws-in on Sunday at UPMC Nowlan Park (4.0).

Where can I watch it?

It's live on TG4.

What the coaches say:

Derek Lyng (Kilkenny): "It's another game now, and we are happy to get it. It's been a positive League for us. The players have a good attitude. We make mistakes, but it's how you respond. That's the most important thing."

Pat Ryan (Cork): "This is a great match for us. Kilkenny have been going well. It's going to be a big test going to Nowlan Park. We are happy with the way things are going. The lads are putting the effort in."

Prediction

Kilkenny 1-17

Cork 2-12
