Kilkenny legend Henry Shefflin has signed up as a pundit with RTE for this year's Championship coverage on the Sunday Game and will also feature on RTE Radio 1's Sunday Sport.
The 10-time All Ireland winner said earlier this week that he was weighing up his TV options following his retirement from hurling last month and today RTE revealed they had landed the top Cat.
“I grew up watching the Sunday Game so it’s a real thrill to be joining the renowned team of panellists this summer and I’m excited to be a part of RTÉ Sport’s team covering the All Ireland Hurling Championship on both television and radio," said Shefflin today.
RTÉ Group Head of Sport Ryle Nugent added: “I’m delighted to welcome a true legend of the game in Henry Shefflin to our already stellar line-up of panellists across our comprehensive GAA Championship coverage. I’m sure Henry will engage brilliantly with RTÉ audiences who continue to look to RTÉ for the best analysis across the summer of Championship action.”
