Wexford manager Davy Fitzgerald is confident that three of his key players will make the bench for Sunday's Allianz National Hurling League showdown with Kilkenny in Wexford Park.

Lee Chin and Matthew O'Hanlon (both knee ligaments) along with Diarmuid O'Keeffe, who has returned from his travels, have missed out on the county's games so far this year.

O'Hanlon, who was injured in last year's All-Ireland semi-final against Tipperary, Chin, who picked up his injury in the Fenway Classic, along with O'Keeffe all came through last Sunday's challenge match with Waterford unscathed.

"I am confident they will make the bench and will be introduced during the course of the game," said Fitzgerald. "All three had some game time against Waterford but will not feature against Kilkenny from the start.

"I will monitor them in training this week, but they will not have enough hurling behind them to start the game and play out 70 minutes."

Fitzgerald, however, will be without two attackers, with David Dunne (quad) and Seamus Casey (ankle ligaments) both injured.

"David is still unavailable while Seamus picked up his ankle problem playing with IT Carlow in the Fitzgibbon Cup semi-final. I really don't know how long they will be out for," he added.
