'It's crazy if there's a suspension out of that' - Sunday Game panel discuss Brian Cody incident with match official
BRIAN CODY may find himself with a case to answer after a first-half incident in Kilkenny's defeat to Waterford on Saturday.
While attempting to confront Waterford manager Derek McGrath over a disputed sideline ball, the Kilkenny boss appeared to put his hands on fourth official Justin Heffernan.
Speaking on The Sunday Game last night, former Offaly player Michael Duignan insisted "there’s nothing in it", adding "I think it’s crazy if there's a suspension out of that".
Anthony Daly added: "We saw the episode with Diarmuid Connolly a few weeks ago and he did put his hands on the fourth official. The fourth official is becoming a way more prominent role now. Brian did put his hands on him, who decides after that, I don't know."
It remains to be seen whether the incident is included in the report of referee James Owens.
