Early salvo eases St Michael's into decider
St Michael's Enniskillen 2-13 st Colman's Claremorris1-10
St Michael's Enniskillen manager Dom Corrigan was very happy with his side's second-half performance as they advanced to the Hogan Cup final.
"We got a great start, great first quarter. Second quarter was poor, we struggled," Corrigan said.
"Half-time came at the right time for us. We regrouped, got a few things sorted out and the boys pushed on really well and we turned in a great second-half performance."
Corrigan praised St Colman's College, Claremorris for "turning it around, big time" after trailing by ten points at one stage.
"They're not Connacht champions for nothing. We lost control around the middle third in that second quarter and breaking ball, all of that there was killing us," he said.
St Colman's made an awful start to the game and joint manager Seamus Curry: "Nerves probably impacted on us a small bit.
"One of the big things was the rotation of the positions, they kept rotating. It took up to 12 minutes for us to get on top of the rotation system that they were doing. Once we did I thought we did go very well, went toe to toe with them."
