Duggan treble sees off Kildare
London 3-16 Kildare 0-19
Kildare had no answer to a rampaging Martin Duggan as a hat-trick from the Clare native helped London to victory in Newbridge.
Duggan hit 3-3 in a superb personal display against the Lilies, who were reduced to 14-men midway through the second half after Paul Divilly was given his marching orders.
The teams drew last week and it was similarly hard-fought for much of the opening stages but Duggan's two goals helped London lead 2-8 to 0-9 at the interval with Mark Delaney notching six points for the home side.
Despite losing a player in the second period, Kildare battled back to get within two points and a remarkable victory looked like a possibility.
However, Duggan, who won an intermediate All-Ireland title with Clare in 2011, had the final word with another goal to kill off Kildare's hopes.
London will hope to build on that momentum next week against Derry, while Kildare face Mayo.
