Tipperary native Davin Flynn fired Donegal to the Division 3A title at the expense of Tyrone at Celtic Park today.

Flynn scored 2-8 as Donegal took the title in convincing style.

Flynn netted an eighth minute goal following a goalmouth scramble.

Schoolteacher Flynn is in his first year in Donegal and he bagged his second goal seven minutes later, firing home from 20 metres.

With the last act of the first period, Stephen Gillespie hit Donegal’s third goal for a 3-11 to 0-4 interval lead.

Early in the second half, Ronan McDermott converted a fourth after his initial effort was saved by John Devlin.

Tyrone’s woes were compounded when sub Mike O’Gorman was sent off for a strike on Flynn and Damien Casey’s late goal was meagre consolation.
