Chin gets Davy's Model over the line
Wexford 1-17 Dublin 0-17
Three late unanswered points handed Wexford a deserved victory in this thrilling game at Hollymount to set up a home semi-final against Kilkenny.
In their first major test under Davy Fitzgerald, the Model started strongly and when Podge Doran shot home a magnificent goal following Paul Morris' crossfield ball, they led 1-8 to 0-5.
Chris Bennett, Chris Crummy and Niall McMorrow chipped away at the lead, but Wexford led 1-11 to 0-9 at the interval.
Dublin improved on the resumption and clawed their way back to parity at 1-12 to 0-15 after 57 minutes.
Morris and Bennett exchanged frees, then Colin McDonald and Caolan Conay swapped points, and it was still all-square with four minutes remaining.
Wexford, having lost their way, put in a storming finish.
A huge Richie Kehoe free put them back in front, and after the Dubs squandered two chances, Lee Chin sealed the deal with an 80-metre free and then a run and excellent finish.
