Champions Clara prove too strong for Carrickshock

In a rematch of last year's decider, Carrickshock proved a huge disappointment in this semi-final and never raised a gallop as Clara set up a showdown against Ballyhale Shamrocks.

Carrickshock looked well placed after 25 minutes when a mere 0-7 to 0-4 behind when playing against the wind.

However, in the closing minutes of the half Chris Bolger and Keith Hogan pointed for Clara and then Jack Nolan bagged a goal to earn them an interval lead of 1-10 to 0-4.

Carrickshock opened the new half strongly and John Tennyson had an early shot on goal. However, they fell away badly after that.
