Fitzgibbon cup semi-finals (extra-time if necessary)

IT Carlow v UL, WIT Sports Campus, 7.0, C McAllister (Cork)

IT Carlow are in the last four after seeing off LIT in the last eight. Sean Downey grabbed the vital goal as DJ Carey's men marched on. They face a UL side who will go into this game as heavy favourites thanks to their 22-point dismantling of UCC. A quick glance at their team-sheet shows why they are outright favourites to win the competition as they can call on the likes of Tony Kelly and John McGrath.

Odds: IT Carlow 9/2, UL 1/6, Draw 12/1

Verdict: UL

DCU v DIT, Parnell Park, 7.0, A Kelly (Galway)

Westmeath's Niall O'Brien led the way with an 11-point haul as DIT shocked cross-city rivals UCD in the quarter-final to make the last four for the first time in the history of this competition. Despite that result they are slight underdogs here against a DCU side who also rallied late to see off three-in-a-row chasing Mary I from Limerick with Dublin's Donal Burke leading the way in the scoring charts. There's likely to be very little in this one.

Odds: DCU 4/5, DIT 5/4, Draw 8/1

Verdict: DCU
