Westmeath 0-20 Antrim 1-15
Westmeath's hurlers came away from Cushendall with a two-point victory but despite the defeat, Antrim will take their place in Saturday's Division 2A final against Carlow.
Antrim, who played the final 25 minutes with 14 men, suffered their first loss of the campaign to a Westmeath side who just about deserved their win.
It was a battle of the free-takers with Westmeath's Allan Devine converting 11 of his side's points from the placed ball and Deaglan Murphy converting 0-10 for Antrim. The Saffrons came alive for the closing stages of the first half, outscoring their visitors to leave it all square at the break. Antrim added the opening two points of the second half through Murphy but a straight red card for Ciaran Johnston saw them down to 14 men.
