Goalkeeper Anthony Nash will captain the Cork senior hurlers in 2015.

He replaces Pa Cronin in the role after the wing-forward turned down the role to concentrate on his own form, Cork manager Jimmy Barry-Murphy has confirmed.

The Cork boss admitted that he accepted Cronin's decision "with regret".

Nash, an All Star winner on 2012 and 2013, made his debut in 2006 but only became a regular starter in 2012.
