Talk about leading by example.

Stradbally captain Jody Dillon scored a brilliant goal to hand his club a dramatic 2-10 to 1-12 victory over Portlaoise in the Laois SFC final on Sunday.

Portlaoise were aiming to secure their 10th Laois Senior Football Championship in a row, and looked on course to seal the win before Dillon's stunning strike in the dying seconds.

Needless to say, the goal sparked wild celebrations in the stands.

Dillon scored 1-1 in the final, and his teammate Gary Comerford contributed 1-5 to help Stradbally claim their first title in 12 years.
