Noel O'Leary was dismissed for a high tackle during yesterday's Comórtas Peile na Gaeltachta final which saw the Marc Ó Sé-trained An Ghaeltacht beat Cill na Martra of Cork by 4-17 to 1-11 in Mayo.

Cill na Martra were always facing an uphill battle but their cause was not helped by O'Leary's red card on the stroke of half time.

The 2010 All-Ireland winner, who had a reputation for being a physical player during his days with the Rebels, was guilty of a clothesline tackle on an opponent with his team trailing 2-9 to 0-5 and the referee was left with little option bit to send him to an early shower.
