Dublin forward Eoghan O'Gara could face retrospective action for putting his hand in the face of Mayo defender Colm Boyle.

O'Gara was drafted into Jim Gavin's starting XV but made little impact beyond scoring a 15th minute point and was substituted at the interval.

The burly forward was involved in an incident with Boyle that was missed by referee Joe McQuillan when he appeared to push his hand into the defender's face and make contact with his eye.

He could face a lengthy ban if the Central Competitions Control Committee decide to probe it.
