Wall sets up Rebels stroll

Cork 3-15 Clare 1-6

CORK cruised into the final with a facile 15-point victory at Pairc Ui Rinn.

The two sides traded points before Clare took the lead for the first time as Darren O'Neill punched to the net on 13 minutes.

Cork, who responded with good John O'Rourke points, then lost captain Rory O'Sullivan to a feared cruciate ligament injury. But with Jamie Wall finding the net, Cork outscored Clare by 1-6 to nil from there for a 1-9 to 1-2 half-time lead.

While a Cathal McInerney free got Clare off the mark after the break, Cork fired back with a goal, Luke Connolly with a superb finish.

Mark Sugrue added a third goal after linking with Ruairi Deane and Connolly as Cork ran out comfortable winners.
