DISTINCTLY low on quality but high on commitment, St Vincent's and Kilmacud must meet again after playing out a draw in Parnell Park last night in a result that may see the Dublin final delayed by a week.

Despite the forward talent on display on both sides we saw just three points from play.

Crokes' Mark Davoren weighed in with the only goal of the game in the first half to give the southsiders a two-point lead at the break.

Vincent's kicked four unanswered points on the restart through Kevin Golden and Mossy Quinn but Tommy Conroy's men failed to score in the last 15 minutes.

Crokes had more than enough chances to win in the final quarter with Liam McBarron toe-poking a goal chance wide from close range. Mark Vaughan and Longford star Brian Kavanagh were also guilty of some poor shooting from placed balls but it was the mercurial Vaughan who landed the last two points of the match to give Crokes another day out.

He showed considerable nerve to put the minimum between the sides when he landed a '45 with less than five minutes to go having missed a very kickable free moments before. Then, his equaliser came right out of the top drawer -- he fired it over from an outrageous angle just a yard in from the touchline and around 40 metres from goal to force a replay.

Despite not seeing much of the ball for the final quarter, Quinn created one last chance for Vincent's to win it when he found Golden in space but his difficult shot drifted wide of the left hand post at the death.
