Like all schools with exceptional sporting history, St Mel’s College, Longford is proud of its record in Gaelic football. Since the school first entered competitive colleges football in 1928, it has won four All-Ireland Hogan Cup titles, 29 Leinster senior titles, 15 Leinster junior successes and four U-14 Leinster titles.

The students of each successful sporting era have their special memories of great players, scoring deeds, powerful defenders, exceptional fielders, valiant foes and lucky breaks.
