The GAA's emigration files

Niall Corkery (Dublin)

Took up employment in London shortly after Dublin's 2010 All-Ireland semi-final defeat to Cork and plays his inter-county football with the Exiles now.

Brian White, Mick Fanning, John O'Brien (Louth)

The trio set off for Australia at the end of 2010. O'Brien and Fanning did return after a spell in the US to play with Louth, while White returned for the local club championship, but they have since emigrated again to Australia.

Tommy Freeman (Monaghan)

Withdrew from the Monaghan squad last year and signalled his intention to go to New York where he spent the summer. Freeman had always harboured a desire to go to the US and with little carpentry work available he took the opportunity.
