Tallon strike dumps out St Michael's

HOLDERS St Michael's went crashing out of the MacRory Cup in a repeat of last year's decider.

St Patrick's eased ahead through Danny Tallon and Conor Murphy. But the Enniskillen side began to threaten and Jack McCann and Lee Brennan brought them level, before Niall Toner and Peter Cassidy sent the Derry college in with a 0-5 to 0-3 interval lead.

Brennan then steered over two more frees to bring the sides level.

St Patrick's went 22 minutes of the second half without scoring, but finally got back on track.
