Supersub Aidan Sheekey smashed in a stunning stoppage-time goal to snatch glory for Dundalk Young Irelands in a dramatic finale in Drogheda.

With his side trailing by a point deep into additional time, Sheekey found the net from distance when the easier option of a point was on.

Fellow sub Kevin Keelan added a point to cap a fine comeback.

After a nervous start, David Egan's goal put St Brigid's three points up, but Irelands clawed back the deficit with a point from Dermot Mone and two frees from Jordan O'Donoghue, to make it 0-7 to 1-4 at the break.

Dan Molloy seized on an error to put the Offaly men 2-7 to 0-8 ahead in the 39th minute, but that was his side's last score.

Mone ignited the revival with a goal, and despite the loss of Sean McLoughlin to a second yellow, Irelands reeled Brigid's in to claim Louth's first title at this grade.
