WEXFORD boss Jason Ryan will be hoping to put a dismal 2009 behind him when his side takes on Dublin in the O'Byrne Cup at Parnell Park on Sunday.
With a challenge game against Laois snowed off on Saturday last, Ryan will still be hoping to give many of his fringe players an opportunity to stake a claim for a permanent place in the squad.
"We'll be trying to put out as strong a side as possible," Ryan said, "but we will also be taking a close look at fringe players like Paddy Byrne (Kilmore), Daithi Waters (St Martin's), Dylan Kehoe, William Atkinson (HWH/Bunclody), Conor Carthy (Castletown) and Ben Brosnan (Bannow-Ballymitty)."
However, Ryan has ruled out David Fogarty (shoulder), PJ Banville (broken leg) and Graham Molloy (knee).
"This trio are making progress but will not be available for a number of weeks," said Ryan.
The Wexford manager is also hoping to give game time to both Redmond Barry and Anthony Masterson, who may not be available at the end of the month owing to personal commitments, so that they will have preparation for the opening Division 3 league game away to Louth on February 7.
