Royal nod for Kenny

New Meath manager Seamus McEnaney last night unveiled Seamus Kenny, one of the county's longest serving players, as his captain for 2011.

Kenny (31) has been an ever-present on the squad since 2001. McEnaney takes his team to Portlaoise tomorrow night hopeful that Meath will record a third successive Division 2 win over Laois, whom they beat in the O'Byrne Shield last week.

Laois will be without Donie Kingston but otherwise manager Justin McNulty can call on a strong selection.

New Galway manager Tomas O Flatharta has chosen Gareth Bradshaw to play alongside Eddie Hoare in a new-look midfield.
