REVEALED - Draw for Round 2A of the football qualifiers throws up some juicy encounters Newsdesk Newsdesk

Last year's beaten All-Ireland finalists Mayo have been drawn against Derry in the All-Ireland SFC Round 2A qualifier draw this morning.

Stephen Rochford's men will have home advantage over the Oak Leaf men and will be keen to avoid the scare they endured against Fermanagh in Castlebar in 2016.

Meath, who disappointed in Saturday evening's defeat to Kildare, will be favourites to bounce back against Sligo at Páirc Tailteann.

Donegal's young guns failed to fire in their defeat to Tyrone yesterday and will be at home against Longford. The Leinster side stunned Down and Monaghan in last year's qualifiers and will relish a chance to take on the 2012 All-Ireland champions.

Laois exited the 2016 championship at the hands of Clare and will be hoping to atone for that defeat when they host the Banner men in Portlaoise.

Confirmation of home venues, times and all dates for the fixtures will be confirmed later today.
