Rebels call on Goold

REIGNING All-Ireland football champions Cork have made just one change to their side for Saturday's clash with Down, with Fintan Goold replacing cruciate victim Ciaran Sheehan in attack.

Sheehan broke down during the Munster final defeat to Kerry and misses the repeat of last year's All-Ireland final. Macroom star Goold replaces him at half-forward in an otherwise unchanged side.

Captain Graham Canty retains his place at full-back despite speculation this week that he could be omitted from the starting side. Dual star Eoin Cadogan had been tipped to start, but he is on the bench even though his involvement with the hurlers is over.

Kanturk's Aidan Walsh is named at centre-field after lining out for the county's U-21 hurlers in their Munster semi-final win over Tipperary.
