O'Sullivan late show grabs draw
IS Killorglin 5-6
De La Salle Macroom 2-15
Danny O'Sullivan popped up with an injury-time point to snatch a share of the spoils for Intermediate School Killorglin in an extraordinary clash at Glenflesk yesterday.
A hat-trick of goals from corner-forward Timmy Walsh, and further maximums from Garry O'Sullivan and Deaven O'Flaherty put the Kerry side firmly in control as they led 5-4 to 1-11 with just 10 minutes remaining.
But Macroom, who had led 1-6 to 1-4 at the break, thanks to a Peter Moynihan goal, showed tremendous battling qualities to fight back. With Robbie O'Dwyer a central figure, a goal from Pat Lucey and two Darren Creed points had the sides level as the clocked struck 60 minutes.
Then in the first minute of injury-time, Cathal Naughton gave Macroom the lead with a massive long-range free, but Killorglin deservedly grabbed the equaliser a minute later when O'Sullivan split the posts.
