O'Leary gives Wexford last-gasp triumph
Wexford 1-11 Carlow 1-10
A Jack O'Leary point two minutes into additional time gave the hosts victory at Innovate Wexford Park.
Carlow opened the game impressively with points from Jacob O'Brien and Luke Connolly, with Wexford having to wait until the 11th minute for their opening point from Ciarán Regan.
Wexford finally began to stretch the visitors' defence, leading to an excellent goal by Lee Jordan, which helped them to go in at the interval ahead by 1-5 to 0-4.
Within nine minutes of the restart, Carlow were back level, Adam Nolan firing home a goal from a penalty after a Wexford defender was penalised for a footblock.
Wexford missed a great chance even minutes from the end when Jordan blazed a penalty over the bar and looked in trouble when Carlow edged ahead with two minutes remaining, but Conor Kehoe tied things up and O'Leary struck to score a late winner.
