Former Offaly football manager Fr Tom Scully has sadly passed away after contracting the coronavirus.

Fr Scully brought the Faithful to the 1969 All-Ireland SFC final where they fell 0-10 to 0-7 to Kerry having earlier secured Leinster honours.

A clerical role in South Africa ended his involvement but the Tullamore native's influence on the 1971/'72 All-Ireland-winning sides was notable as they secured their first Sam Maguire before completing back-to-back victories a year later under Fr Tom Gillooly.
