O'Connor leads Pat's to third Louth title in four years

St Patrick's 1-10 Dreadnots 1-8 - Louth SFC final

St Patrick's started and finished with a flourish in an otherwise dour tussle in Drogheda to claim their third title in four years and their sixth since 2003. In between, Fergal Reel's star-studded side was pushed to their limits.

Pats' Eoin O'Connor got the opening goal, but Dreadnots kept in touch and their dreams of a first ever county title were very much alive at the break as a Paraic Smith goal helped them to a 1-6 to 1-5 advantage. Pats took a grip on proceedings after the restart, but couldn't shake off their gutsy opponents. Points from Paddy Keenan and Daragh Lafferty ensured a victory.
