Kerry's quest for six minor titles in a row remains on course, but they needed a powerful second half to get past Tyrone at O'Connor Park. The Kingdom will take on Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final.

Kerry were pushed hard. They needed a late goal from Emmet O'Shea and a strong showing from Jack O'Connor to get over the line.

Tyrone's defence smothered the Kerry attack to the extent that their first score from play didn't come until added time at the end of the first half, through Dylan Geaney. O'Connor had kicked two 45s by that point as Luke Donnelly and Mark Devlin helped Tyrone into a healthy lead.

But that all changed after the break. O'Connor kicked a free and a point either side of a Mark Devlin score, while Kerry worked their way level by the 46th minute when Eoghan O'Sullivan pointed.

O'Shea finished to the net 13 minutes from time and two minutes later Tyrone had Michael McGleenan black carded, before Michael McCann was sent off for a lunge on O'Shea.

SCORERS - Kerry: J O'Connor 0-5 (2'45, 1f); E O'Shea 1-2; D Geaney 0-3; E O'Sullivan, R O'Grady 0-1 each. Tyrone: M Devlin 0-4 (2 '45); L Donnelly 0-3 (1f); D Fullerton, S Browne 0-1 each.
