Dublin football star Con O'Callaghan hopes to see Jim Gavin in charge again for 2020.

The manager has stated that he will take time to consider his future after guiding the Dubs to an unprecedented five All-Ireland titles in-a-row and a sixth in the seven seasons he has been in charge.

And while the sense that Gavin could be about to step down has lingered since last Saturday night, O'Callaghan is hopeful he will be in charge for the new campaign.

He said: "That is absolutely his decision. All the players love playing for him. I don't know. There has been a lot of talk in the media but as far as we are concerned, it is the same as usual. Celebrate in the next couple of months, reconvene come December and figure out a plan."
