O'Brien punishes 14-man Maynooth

Maynooth College matched Carlow for much of the first half but once the home side got going at Netwatch Cullen Park yesterday there was only going to be one winner.
In the first half Henry Walsh was the Maynooth danger man with six points, but Darragh Foley's goal helped Carlow to a 1-9 to 0-11 interval lead.
Maynooth lost Daniel Flynn to a straight red on 43 minutes when Daniel St Ledger was taken out off the ball, and goals from Darragh O'Brien and Alan Kelly sealed the win for Carlow.
