O'Brien does trick for Wicklow

Wicklow 5-31 IT Tallaght 2-7 Newsdesk Newsdesk

Wicklow were far too strong for a depleted IT Tallaght in a game that looked over after just 10 minutes at 1-06 to 1-0.

Andy O'Brien and Christy Moorehouse combined for 3-20 between them, while George O'Brien won simply everything.

IT Tallaght were also deprived of one of their main attacking threats when Darragh Pepper received a red card in the 17th minute. The students could only muster 1-01 in the first-half and scorers Adam Doyle and Adrian Clabby were their best players.

Wicklow took the chance to empty their bench in the second-half and James Cranley looked the most impressive of those who came on. They will also welcome a few more players back into the set-up during the league.

Wicklow now face Trinity for a place in the final.
