O Beaglaoich to make Kerry debut
Former All-Ireland minor winner Brian O Beaglaoich will make his competitive Kerry debut tomorrow night as eight of the team that lost last year's All-Ireland final to Dublin are selected for the return match to open the Allianz League Campaign.
Philip O'Connor gets his first start having featured as a replacement in a number of matches last year.
Tommy Walsh has been posted at full-forward as David Moran is paired with Johnny Buckley at midfield. Darran O'Sullivan has also been selected, having spent so much time on the bench last year.
Kilmichael's Peter Kelleher has been included at full-forward on the Cork team that hosts Mayo but new manager Peadar Healy has opted for a strong team, with Daniel Goulding offered an opportunity to stake a claim for a starting place once again.
Elsewhere, Cora Staunton has handed Mayo a massive boost by committing to a 22nd successive season of intercounty fare - but admits that she agonised over her decision.
The Carnacon superstar, a ten-time All-Star, returned to training with the Westerners last Friday night and is available for selection ahead of Sunday's Lidl Division 1 opener against Cork in Mallow.
