Noughties not nice for Limerick

2000: Beaten by Cork in quarter-final by eight points.

2001: Beaten by Kerry in semi-final by eight points.

2002: A string of saves in the closing minutes by Kerry goalkeeper Declan O'Keeffe kept Limerick at bay in the semi-final and they lost by four points.

2003: Beat Cork and made Munster final against Kerry but missed two penalties and lost by four points.

2004: Drew with Kerry in the final and lost replay by three points.

2005: Beaten by Kerry in semi-final by six points.

2006: Beaten by late Cork flourish in semi-final and lost by four.

2007: Well beaten by Cork again in semi-final, losing by 13 points.
