NFL wrap: Tyrone rescue a draw at home to 14-man Derry; wins for Down and Carlow
Darren McCurry's last gasp free rescued a point for Tyrone against bitter rivals Derry in a dramatic clash at Healy Park in Omagh.
Terence O'Brien's goal had Derry four points in front with eight minutes to go but the dismissal of Niall Holly for a second yellow didn't help them as they looked to hang on for a win.
McCurry had the last say in injury time but Derry are off the mark in Division One. The final scoreline was 0-11 to 1-8.
Donal O'Hare's goal with seven minutes remaining was enough to give Down a 1-9 to 0-8 win over Ulster rivals at Breffni Park.
In the final game of the night, Carlow fought back from five points down at half time to beat Waterford by 0-11 to 0-9 in Dungarvan.
They trailed by 0-7 to 0-2 at the break but with the aid of a strong breeze, they reeled in the hosts.
