Injury has robbed new recruit Conor Meyler of the chance to make his Tyrone debut on Sunday.
The Omagh man was recently called up by Mickey Harte following a string of classy displays in the Red Hands' triumphant run to the All-Ireland U-21 title, but a hamstring injury has ruled him out of the qualifier clash with Limerick at Healy Park.
"Conor Meyler damaged his hamstring in the championship match against Carrickmore, so he will be unavailable for the next round," said Harte. "Only if we progress will he be able to give us what he has."
Meyler was promoted to the senior ranks along with teenager Lee Brennan, another member of the U-21 team, earlier this month. Five members of the All-Ireland-winning side are now in the senior squad and two, Cathal McShane and Rory Brennan, started against Donegal.
