Ireland International Rules manager Joe Kernan has confirmed that Mayo's Lee Keegan will not be available for the trip to Australia due to injury and is a 'big miss'.

Speaking at the launch of the series today, Armagh's 2002 All-Ireland winning manager also confirmed that Zach Tuohy, Conor McKenna and Pearse Hanley are the three AFL-based players that will don the Irish jersey.

The full 23-man squad will be announced in three weeks time.

The Adelaide Oval and the Domain Stadium in Perth will play host to the Virgin Australian International Rules Test between Ireland and Australia this November.

The first test will take place in Adelaide on Sunday, November 12 with the Perth venue playing host to the deciding test six days later.

It will be the final game to take place at the Domain Stadium.

The series returns to a two test format for the first time since 2013.

Ireland are the current holders of the Cormac McAnallen trophy after their victory at Croke Park in 2015.
